Larry
D. has been a part of the gaming industry his entire life. Over
the course of his career he has had the opportunity to work
in almost every operational position and corporate culture that
a casino/hotel has to offer.
In
recent years Larry D. has focused most of his attention on table
games, casino marketing and casino operations management. As
part of the pre-opening marketing team for the MGM Grand, Larry
D. participated in initial trips to the Far East where he helped
establish branch offices, identify potential marketing representatives,
as well as to introduce the MGM to known High Rollers. In his
post-opening role as a Casino Marketing Executive, he shifted
his attention to the development and maintenance of Domestic
customers.
Capitalizing
on his casino operations background, Larry D. shifted his focus
to assisting the Texas Information Development Commission (TIDC)
as a casino operations compliance consultant. TIDC was interested
in introducing newly declassified technology into the highly
regulated gaming marketplace. Larry D. advised the TIDC on the
surveillance and security logistics needed to link remote gaming
to a live table source.
Since
joining the Navegante team, Larry D. has played an important
role in several projects. As part of the pre-opening team at
Casino Niagara, he was responsible for the hiring and training
of the entire Casino Marketing department, which included all
Player Development and Front Services staff. Larry D. has also
been a key contributor in several Navegante feasibility and
market studies.
Recently,
Larry D. played a key role in a comprehensive operational assessment
for the Ogden Corporation's Argentinean casino, Casino Iguazu,
which is located on the Brazil & Paraguay border.
The assessment focused
on business strategy, casino credit, marketing, casino operations,
security and surveillance, internal controls, hotel, food and
beverage, finance and administration. Larry D. continually
provides support to the upper management of Casino Iguazu.
With
such a diverse background, Larry D. has gained the experience,
knowledge and networking to successfully complete virtually
any assignment.
