Navegante
was contracted by the Ogden Corporation to conduct a comprehensive
operational assessment of the Iguazu Grand Hotel Resort &
Casino located near Iguazu Falls on the border of Brazil and Paraguay.
The
assessment, including a 13 day on site visit during October -
November, focused on business strategy, casino credit, marketing,
casino operations, security and surveillance, internal controls,
hotel, food and beverage, finance and administration.
During
the visit, the Navegante team members observed operations and
evaluated all the available information and made recommendations
for improvements that are being implemented today.
During
this period, Navegante Search International conducted an executive
search to find a candidate to provide on-site support to the acting
President. The position was filled by Navegante's candidate
who has been highly productive in the gaming industry for more
than 30 years as a casino executive and a senior consultant.
He is currently in place and is assisting the acting President
and the Ogden Corporation in a broad gaming role.
Most
recently, Navegante conducted an annual review of the properties
operations. The review consisted of a 13 day visit consisting
of three Navegante representatives to follow-up on the previous
review and assist the management in developing a three year business
plan.
Navegante
recently assisted by providing the Ogden Corporation with candidates
for the positions of President, VP Casino Operations, VP of Casino
Marketing and Director of VIP Services. The candidates
were interviewed and hired.
Navegante
provides continued support to Casino Iguazu.
